- Mildred R. Wittman Kaukauna
Age 89, was welcomed into her new life on Friday evening, July 20, 2012. She was born on August 26, 1922 in Appleton, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Bruehl) Lynch. On October 9, 1941, she was united in marriage to Elmer Wittman at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Together they celebrated 29 years together. Mildred was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and especially enjoyed spending time with her family, and always ready with a treat for the grandchildren. She had a love for music and liked playing the keyboard and guitar.
Mildred is survived by her children: Sandee (John) Nytes, Dennis (Lois) Wittman, David (Diane) Wittman, and Gary (Sandy) Wittman; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Laurie (Steve) Friday and their children: Stevie and Grace; Kathy Kierszh (Eric Hanson) and her son Ben; Janine Nytes, Jeffrey (Virginia) Wittman and their daughter Jobi Anna; Jonathan (Henriet) Wittman, Cory (Angela) Wittman and their daughters: Allie Jo and Coryna, Michael (Becky) Wittman, Shari Wittman (special friend Chris), and Kevin Wittman; two sisters: Bette (Steve) Talbot and Janis (Bud) Mayer; two sisters-in-law: Marion Lynch and Karen Lynch; a brother-in-law: Harvey (Mary) Wittman. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Elmer in 1970, a son and daughter-in-law: Dale and Debbie Wittman, two brothers: Sylvester and Gordon Lynch, a sister-in-law, Phyllis Lynch, and a dear friend Evan P. Geske.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH @ ST. ALOYSIUS CHURCH, 2401 Main Avenue in Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors celebrating the mass. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery Cemetery in Kaukauna. Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Mildred's name is being established.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of St. Paul Elder Services, the staff on 4South at St. Elizabeth Hospital, as well as Dr. Jack Meyer.
