  Mary C. Quella, 93, Sherwood, passed away Wed. Jan. 9, 2013 at Appleton Health Care Center. She was born May 16, 1919 in Brillion to the late John and Johanna (Kempen) Steinmetz. Mary wed Sylvester Quella on June 5, 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1999. Mary was an active member at Sacred Heart Parish in Sherwood with the choir, Catholic Knights and St. Ann's Society. Her passion was being a part of the People of Praise Community. Mary also waitressed for a variety of restaurants in the area for many years. Survivors include her two sons: James (Janice) Quella, Hortonville and Kenneth (Carolyn) Quella, Sherwood; three daughters: Carol (Ted) Dorsey, New London, Diane Reinke, Appleton and JoAnn (Jeff) Eiting, Dundas, WI; 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sylvester; brothers: Harold (Lorraine) Steinmetz and Nicholas Steinmetz; sisters: Monica (Jim) Reidy and Rita Steinmetz and son-in-law, Ronald Meunier. A Mass of Resurrection will be at 11 am, Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at St. John Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood with Rev. Michael Betley. Interment will take place in the parish Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Saturday, directly at church from 9 am until the time of mass. A memorial fund is being established. The family would like to thank the staffs of Appleton Health Care Center and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their compassionate are of Mary.
