She was born October 18, 1916 in Freedom, Wiscon sin, the daughter of the late John and Jane (Hooyman) Weyenberg. She w as a graduate of Freedom High School in 1934. Irene was united in marria ge to Albert Stephani on November 24, 1937 at St. Nicholas Catholic Churc h, Freedom. He preceded her in death in 1997. Irene was a member of St. Ma ry's Catholic Church, Black Creek and a member of the Christian Mothers So ciety. She enjoyed dancing, singing, and cherished the quiet time she cou ld spend sewing for the grandchildren.She is survived by four sons: William Stephani, Krakow; Richard (Nancy) St ephani, Sheboygan; Herbert (Lynda) Stephani, Marshfield; Lowell (special f riend, Michele) Stephani, Black Creek; and grandmother to: Scott, Tim (She ri), Jeff, Craig, Jeremy Stephani; Jodi (Tom) Armstrong, Jill (Paul) Mersb erger, Mary (Dean) DuMonthier, Jenny (Chris) Chapel, Stacey (special frien d, John) Stephani, Sara (Mike) Harrison, Julie Stephani and 11 great grand children.She is further survived by a brother, Clyde (Ardene) Weyenberg; two brothe rs-in-law: Leon Spletter, Appleton and Clem Sigl, Black Creek; two sisters -in-law: Marge Weyenberg, Freedom and Virginia Stephani, Seymour.Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her parents, two siste rs and one brother-in-law and four brothers and three sisters-in-law; Mart ha (Ted) Van Dyke, Dorothy Spletter, Ray (Eve) Weyenberg, Merv (Myrtle) We yenberg, Eugene (Polly) Weyenberg and Orville Weyenberg.Friends and family may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Black Creek, We dnesday, September 4, 2002 after 9:00 a.m. until the time of the servic e.
