- Petit, Ray J., N5071 Cty H wy D, New LondonAge 79, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at Applet on Medical Center. He was born on February 28, 1924 in the Township of Lib erty son of the late Edward and Amelia (Wood) Petit. On August 27, 19 46 he was united in marriage to Helen Mackowiak in Clintonville. Ray liv ed and farmed in the New London area his entire life. He worked for the Ci ty of New London Street Department for 15 years retiring in 1982. He al so worked for Midwest Livestock Producers part time for 30 years. Ray w as a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church where he served as an u sher and also the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife Helen; t wo daughters: Lunette (Michael) Pohlman, New London; Lea (Jim) Walters, Ho rtonville; four sons: Larry (Dorothy) Petit, New London; Lyle Petit and sp ecial friend Marcia Hertzfeld, New London; Leon Petit, New London; and Lu ke (Brenda) Petit, Appleton; a sister Luella Van Vonderen, Kaukauna; thr ee brothers in law: John (Helen) Mackowiak, New London; Jim (Dorothy) Mackowiak, Clintonville; Ervin (Rose) Mackowiak, Clintonville; three sisters i n-law Lois Petit, Appleton; Margaret Petit, Appleton and Ann Petit, New Lo ndon. Also eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nie ces and nephews further survive him. He is preceded in death by a daught er Patsy, seven brothers: Alvin, Leo, Adrian, Glenn, Vernon, Mark and Lean der and also a sister Leona. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, Dece mber 8, 2003 at 10:30 AM at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New Lon don with Fr. David Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemeter y. Friends may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Su nday from 4-8 PM where a 7:30 prayer service will be held and on Mond ay at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of service. A memor ial fund has been established.
