- Flossie De Goey, Combined Locks, Age 86, passed away peacefully at St Paul's Home in Kaukauna early Saturday morning on April 18th. She was born on April 24th, 1928 in Wrightstown, WI. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Nytes) Verbeten. On September 2, 1950, Flossie married John (Jack) De Goey at St John's Catholic Church in Seymour. The couple lived in Combined Locks most of their married lives. Flossie worked at Look's Hardware store in Little Chute and was fondly known as the "Paint Lady". She loved to golf and spend time at the cottage. She also liked spending the winter months in Gulfport Mississippi. Flossie endured a long journey with Alzheimer's disease with Jack at her side daily. Flossie is survived by Jack, her husband of 64 years, Jim (Patty) of New London, Steve (Birdie) of Rochester MN, Patti (Dan) Verhagen of Freedom, Diane (Steve) Uphill of Combined Locks, 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is further survived by Lorraine VanVreede, Marion (Deede) Helein, Carol (Ron) DeBruin, Evie Verbeten, Doris Verbeten, Lorry (Don) Phillips, Ken (Sandy) De Goey, Janice De Goey and Donald (Geraldine) De Goey. Flossie was preceded in death by daughter-in-law Joline (Pennings) De Goey, Earl (Betty) Verbeten, Ralph Verbeten, Robert Verbeten, Marlyn Verbeten, Blanche (Jerry) Pynenberg, Lois (Donald) Gonnering. The funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 22 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Combined Locks with Father Andrew Kysely officiating. Burial entombment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at Boettcher Family Funeral Home in Kaukauna from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 21st concluding with a prayer service, and again 9:30 am on Wednesday at St. Paul's Church until the time of services.
