  Mathias Haas passed away at his home at 613 Pennsylvania avenue on Friday evening. The deceased was born in Town Wilson on November 20, 1859 and was married in the same township to Miss Mary Nytes in 1896. The couple operated a farm there until 1930. In that year they moved into Kaukauna. In 1936 the couple celebrated their golden wedding in Kaukauna. Mr. Haas was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Marys church in Kaukauna for many years. In May of this year they moved to their present home in Sheboygan. Among survivors are his wife and three daughters; Mrs. Ben (Johanna) Manthey of Kenosha; Mrs. Ben (Margaret) Williams and Mrs. John (Mary) Euhl of Sheboygan; three sons, John of Milwaukee; Math., Jr. of Madison and Albert of Appleton. Twenty nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. Three brothers John of Sheboygan; George of Two Rivers and William of St. Paul. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Clara and one son, Henry, and three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held on Monday morning at the Gerend Funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. with a requiem mass at the St. Clements church. The Rev. John Durman will officiate and burial will be on the family lot in Calvary cemetery.
