- Ann L. Cooney, ag ed 78, passed away on Monday December 19th, 1994, at St. Joseph's Residenc e, New London, following a lingering illness. She was born on August 28t h, 1916 in Appleton, daughter of James and Mary Hardy Hawley. On June 2n d, 1943, she married George Cooney in Appleton. They celebrated 50 yea rs of marriage in 1993. She was a member of the Most Precious Blood Catho lic Church and the Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed reading and piano playin g, which was her true joy in later years. She was a loving caring pers on that will be sadly missed by her family. She is survived by her husban d, George, a son, Terry, New London, five daughters and sons in law, Jean ne and Larry Wolfe, Mishicot, Ellen and James Clarke, of New London, Sus an and Dennis Huss, Kimberly, Mary and Scott Hanadel, New London, Ann a nd Tim Ericskon, Weyauwega, 14 grandchildren, Brian and Scott Wolfe, Cha d, Matt, Shane, and Andy Clarke, Jennifer, Jessica and Ryan Huss, Amy, An drea, and Eric Algiers, Jamie and Jason Erickson, a great-grandson, Dill on Wolfe, two sisters and a brother in law, Margaret and Simon Freiburge r, Kathleen Rathsack both of Appleton, a brother Willard Hawley, Freedo m, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parent s, a sister, Mary Ellen Long, and two brothers, David and James Hawley. Fu neral Mass will be Thursday December 22, 1994 at the Most Precious Blood C atholic Church at New London with Father Tito Sammut and Father Tom Long c ocelebrating. Burial will be in the Most Precious Blood Cemetery. The fam ily wishes to thank the wonderful staff said St. Joseph's Residence for th eir devoted care of Mom during the past one and one-half years.
