  Freiburger, MargaretMargaret Sheridan Freiburger age 84, Appleton, passed away peacefully whi le surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 7, 2004 at Oak Park Nursing a nd Rehabilitation in Madison. She was born October 23, 1919 in Appleton, d aughter of the late James and Mary (Hardy) Hawley. She was employed by App leton Woolen Mills as a bookkeeper and payroll clerk for 18 years and reti red in 1982. She married Simon Frances Freiburger November 5, 1941 shari ng 54 years together before his death November 15, 1995. She was a life lo ng member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton. She will always be rememb ered for her beautiful gardens and love of music. All who knew and loved h er will forever remember her smiling Irish eyes, her kind and generous nat ure and her love for life and family.Margaret is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law: Mary and Ken Fu nk, Sun Prairie; Ann and Robert Krueger, Appleton; a son and daughter-in-l aw: Vincent and Annette Freiburger, Fairbanks, AK; a brother, Willard Hawl ey, Freedom; a sister, Kitty Rathsack, Appleton: nine grandchildren: Bre nt Freiburger, Michael Freiburger, Tracey (Douglas) Crossen, Stephen Fun k, Claire (Chuck) Hiltz, Ryan Schiedermayer, Sarah Apitz, Emily Krueger, E lizabeth Krueger; three great-grandchildren: Marianna and Michael Cross en and Ethan Hiltz, numerous nieces and nephews.Preceding her in death were a daughter, Peggy Schiedermayer; two brother s: David and James, and two sisters: Ann Cooney and Mary Ellen Long.A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday March 10, 20 04 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 S. State St. Appleton, with the Rev. T om Long officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery Appleto n. Friends may call at directly at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. unt il the time of service. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Assoc iation, 517 N. Segoe Rd., Suit 301, Madison, WI 53705.The family wishes to thank the staff at Oak Park Nursing and Rehabilitati on for their compassionate care of Margaret for the past two years.
