  Norbert Jackels, Kaukauna, age 90, died on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at home. Norb was born December 4, 1916, in the Town of Harrison to the late Nicholas and Christina (Schmidt) Jackels. Norb married Enid Olsen who preceded him in death in the mid-1950's. On October 18, 1958, Norb married Marcella "Sally" Francart at St. Patrick Church in Menasha They were lifelong farmers and enjoyed the many social aspects of the area County Fairs. Sally and Norb were also foster parents to numerous children including Michael Lom. Sally preceded him in death on March 7, 2001. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a charter member of St. Vincent De Paul. Norb was a longtime active member of St. Aloysius Parish, participating in the funeral choir and as an Eucharistic Minister. He will be remembered for his jokes and dry humor. He is survived by two sisters: Marcella Mielke and Sr. Cyrilla Jackels, a sister-in-law, Bernice Jackels, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He is also survived by the many family members of his first wife, Enid Olsen and second wife, Marcella Francart. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Enid Olsen; his second wife, Marcella Francart; two brothers, Louis Jackels and Anthony Jackels; his five sisters, Agnes Jackels, Regina (Cyril) Halbach, Dolores (Alois) Van Camp; and infant twins, Ethel and Evelyn, as well as a brother in law, George Mielke. Norbs' Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2007, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL CATHOLIC CHURCH at ST. ALOYSIUS SITE, 2401 Main Avenue, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday at Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 920-766-2099. The family would like to thank Affinity Visiting Nurses Hospice, especially Rachel, for the care they gave Norb during his time of need. I'll be a farmer till I die, after that I don't care.
