W2328 CTY UU AppletonAge 80, went to eternal life Friday, June 21, 2002 at home with his fami ly by his side. Born April 15, 1922, son of the late John and Jane Weyenbe rg. On June 7, 1947 he was united in marriage to Margie Syring. Together t hey raised seven children. Orville enjoyed singing and playing cards and d ominoes with his family and friends. Orville graduated from St. Nicholas C atholic School. In 1947 he took over the family farm. After retiring fr om farming, he worked at Freedom High School as a custodian and Swinkles b ussing, where he enjoyed the kids as much as they enjoyed him. Orville enj oyed many years at his hunting cabin in Neilsville. He was a member of S t. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, The Knights of Columbus, St. Nichol as Church Choir, and the Freedom Volunteer Fire Department. He is surviv ed by his wife of 55 years, Margie; his children: Amy (Gary) Hodkiewicz; L yle (special friend, Paula) Weyenberg; Rick (Ann) Weyenberg; Cathy (speci al friend, Steve) Van Den Berg; Dave (Gail) Weyenberg; Mary (Paul) Jochma n; a daughter-in-law, Donna Sprister; and the treasures of his lifetime, h is 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by t wo foster children, Alice (Earl) Steffens and Norm (Marge) Van Bee k. He is further survived by a sister, Irene Stephani; a brother, Clyde (A rdene) Weyenberg; a brother-in-law, Leon Spletter; Margie's family: Bet ty (Ed) Hooyman; Mike (Del) Syring, and Tom Syring. He is preceded in dea th by a son, Ron Sprister; grandson, Ryan Weyenberg; mother-in-law and fat her-in-law, Ray and Cecelia Syring; three brothers and sisters-in-law, R ay (Eve); Merv (Myrtle); and Gene (Polly) Weyenberg; three sisters and a b rother-in-law, Martha (Ted) Van Dyke; Dorothy Spletter, and Rita Anunso n. Friends may call at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom on Monday fr om 3 p.m. until the time of mass of Christian Burial at 5 p.m. with Fath er Dennis Ryan officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In li eu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Muehl-Boettcher Funer al Home is assisting the family.The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Eugene Rigstad, Dr. Jeffe ry Klingbeil, Dr. William Guenther, and Hospice.To all my children: thank you for all the love, care, and respect you ha ve given me.
