- Edward Dale Baeten, 82, Hobart, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011. He was born Jan. 7, 1928, in Wrightstown, to the late Edward and Isabel (Bougie) Baeten. On May 27, 1952, he married Margaret Leisgang in Seymour. Dale farmed until 1976, he then managed rental properties for 20 years. He was a former Hobart Board member, past Hobart Volunteer Firefighter, and Brown Co. NFO member. Dale enjoyed playing cards and watching the Green Bay Packers.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his children, Tom Baeten, De Pere, and his special friend, Donna Wiskow; Jeff (Bonnie) Baeten, Twsp. of Oneida; Lou Ann Junio, De Pere; Debra Charles, Twsp. of Maple Grove and her special friend, Barry McVane; Robert Baeten, Palm Springs, Calif.; and Mary Beth (John) Thornton, Green Bay. Dale is further survived by his 13 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren; his brother, Gerald (Claire) Baeten, Illinois; his brother-in-law, Joe (Audrey) Leisgang, Green Bay; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Tom) Lancour, Seymour; Dorothy Leisgang, Green Bay; and Rita Leisgang, Green Bay.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; his daughter, Christine Mary; and great- grandson, Bentley Edward Jordan.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, with a Parish Prayer Service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive, De Pere, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Fr. Dale endured tremendous physical pain for the last several years. May the good Lord, in his tender mercy, welcome him home to rest, to be with his beloved daughter, Christine Mary and great-grandson, Bentley Edward.
