- Daniel "Dan" J. Lamers, age 56, a life long Wrightstown resident, died Apr il 13, 2000 surrounded by his family at a Green Bay Hosipital The son of P eter and Catherine (Fox) Lamers was born July 17, 1943 in Wrightstown. D an married Dorothy Weyenberg on November 9, 1963 to Holy Cross Catholic Ch urch in Kaukauna. He owned and operated Dans Service Station in Wrightsto wn since 1961. Dan was a member of the Wrightstown Volunteer Fire Departme nt all of his adult life, and had served as Fire Chief. He was a loving hu sband, father, grandfather and cared very much for the community. Survivo rs include his wife, Dorothy, four children and their families, Mark and H olly Lamers, Madison, and their children Courtney and Bryce, Mike and Bren da Lamers, Wrightstown, and their daughter, Alicia, Cindy and Tom Opichk a, De Pere, and their children; Tanner and Theo, Matt Lamers, Wrightstow n, a sister and her husband Dorothy "Dolly" and Harold Pritzl, Appleton, t wo brothers and their spouces, Francis "Frank" and Mary Lou Lamers, Wright stown, Roger and Bonnie Lamers, Wrightstown, and many nieces and nephew s. Dan is also survived by Dorothy's family, Dick and Louise Weyenberg, Ca rol and Greg Coenen, Janice Minten, Raymond and Janice Weyenberg, Jim a nd Bev Weyenberg, Chuck and Nancy Weyenberg, mother in-law Anna Weyenber g. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father in-law, John Wey enberg. Family and friends may call on Saturday (today) from 9 to 11 a.m. at St.Paul Catholic Church, Wrightstown. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am. S aturday at the church with the Rev.Elroy Reimer officiating. Burial wi ll be in the church cemetery. DeWayne/Cotter Funeral Home, Wrightstow n, is assisting the family with arrangements.
