- Rita H Van Boxtel, 88 Appleton, WI passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 with family at her side. Rita was the daughter of the late Adrian and Josephine (Daul) Diedrich. Rita was employed at Bowlby Candy and Quaker Dairy. She enjoyed knitting, camping, baking and visiting with family and friends.
Rita is survived by a son, David (Susan) Van Boxtel, Appleton; a daughter, Sue (Brian) Young, Hortonville; a brother-in-law, Ray Vanden Heuvel, sister-in-law, Alice Ludwig; six grandchildren, Brian, Scott, Connie (Eric), Jenny (Mike), Katie (Wes), David II; and 7 great-grandchildren, Clara, Lucy, Emma, Jude, Tenleigh, Jaxon and Kingston. She is preceded in death by her husband, an infant brother, her brother, her sister, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in law.
Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30-10:45 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 12, 2016 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald St., Appleton with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Burial will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Freedom at 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be given to EWTN, Our Lady of Good Help in Robinsonville, Wi, and for masses.
