- Marcella Van Albertson, 90, passed away on May 7, 2008, in Oklahoma City. She was born Oct. 30, 1917, in Wrightstown, Wis., the daughter of Arnold and Elenor Van Den Weymelenburg. On Aug. 11, 1943, she married Ovid A. Albertson. She was a longtime member of Christ the King Church. Marcy enjoyed sewing, quilting and donated many hand made craft projects to charities. She was a powerhouse of activity serving as a PTA president, a homeroom mother, scouting den mother, a dress designer and she loved fabric and color. She made vestments for the Church and was always involved in family, community and Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ovid A. "Al" Albertson; a brother and sister-in-law, John Van Den Wymelenberg and wife, Janet; a sister-in-law, Marie Van Den Wymelenberg; and a brother-in-law, William Merkey.
Survivors include four children, Cindy Silk, Bruce Albertson and wife, Susan, Dennis Albertson and wife, Darla, Jon Albertson; a sister, Ruth Merkey; a brother, Gerald Van Den Wymelenberg; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Smith & Kernke, 14624 N. May Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2008, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment in the Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
