- Gayle Jean Byrne, age 61, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 11, 200 5, at her home, after a courageous 13-year battle with cancer. A Mass of C hristian Burial will be held at CHRIST THE KING CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5306 Ma in St., McFarland, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, with Fath er D. Stephen Smith presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Byrne, Gayle Jean TOWN OF BLOOMINGGROVE - Gayle Jean Byrne, age 61, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 11, 200 5, at her home, after a courageous 13 year battle with cancer. She was bo rn on Feb. 16, 1944, in Hollywood, Calif., to Robert and Margaret (Linde n) Davis. Gayle graduated from Edgewood High School in 1962. She married P atrick Byrne on April 30, 1966. Gayle was a stay at home mom for 17 year s. She was a long time employee of Anchor Bank, Monona and Atwood Avenue b ranches, retiring in 2003. Gayle was a member of Christ the King Cathol ic Church and the Madison Area Street Rod Club. She enjoyed traveling wi th family and friends, loved to shop, play cards, and collect Boyd's Bear s. Gayle is survived by her husband, Patrick Byrne; daughter, Lisa Marie B yrne of Stoughton; son, Matthew Byrne of McFarland; sister-in-law, Kathle en (Dayle) Geroski of Atlanta, Ga.; and several cousins. She was preced ed in death by her parents; infant sister, Mary, in 1955; and father-in-l aw and mother-in-law, Robert and Alice Byrne.
