- Orville Michael Evers, 82, of Freedom, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. He was born on February 2, 1933, son of the late Peter and Anna (Bergman) Evers. On May 9, 1963, Orville married Shirley Van Hoof at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Orville was a retired iron worker, having worked at Boldt Co, Hennes and Lunda Construction. He could fix anything and spent many hours working out in his shed. No matter how far away they were, or what the weather was, he was there to support Cole and Cameron, never missing out on a game. The last few years, Orville was an outstanding caregiver to his beloved wife, Shirley, who now resides at Good Shepherd in Seymour.
