  Dorothy May Heesaker, 93, passed away peacefully into eternal life, Saturday, June 10, 2017. She was born June 6, 1924 in West De Pere, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Bongers) Heesaker. Dorothy lived life extremely proud of her Dutch heritage and with the same passion, heart, toughness and spirit of her number one favorite team, the Packers. She really enjoyed spending time with her Iowa Packer fan family. Dorothy most enjoyed time spent with her family. Dorothy is survived by her 2 sons, Hank (Betty) and George "Van" Vanderveren; 2 daughters, Mari (Leon) Rushing and Susan (Joe) Schleis; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; her sister, Joan Otto; sister-in-law, Irene Heesaker and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her soulmate, Steve; 5 siblings; a Godson; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Monday, June 19, 2017 from 11 AM to 1 PM.
