- Edwin O. Vanevenhoven 109 Filmore Street Kaukauna Age 84, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 26, 2000 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born June 16, 1915 in Kaukauna, son of the late Albert and Dora (Heindel) Vanevenhoven. Edwin married Mary Verbeten they shared 59 years of marriage. He was a long time member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and AARP. Ed worked for Gustmans in Kaukauna for over 50 years and was a volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul. He enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. But his grandchildren gave him his greatest enjoyment. Survivors include his wife, Mary Vanevenhoven, Kuakauna four sons: David and Maureen, Redondo Beach, California Carl and Grace, Kaukauna Mark, Kaukauna and Alan and Mary, Kaukauna six daughters: Mary Ann and Peter Hull, Moreno Valley, California Janet Linet, Kaukauna Patricia Vanevenhoven, Los Angeles, California Helen and Gary Wendt, Flagstaff, Arizona Rose Ann and Jim Woloszyk, Elm Grove, Wisconsin and Rita and Anthony Gelling, Wyalong, Australia 13 grandchildren: Keith, Alan Jr., Amy, Ann, Aaron, Melissa, Celeste, Ryan, Courtney, Tyler, Evan, Nicholas and Simon a great granddaughter, Taylor Ann. Ed is further survived by a brother, Louis and Maxine Vanevenhoven, Kaukauna two sisters-in-law: Sr. Catherine Verbeten, Racine Grace and Joe Kugler, Appleton a brother- in-law, Jeff and Dorothy Verbeten, Kaukauna. Other than his parents, Ed was preceded in death by three sisters: Eva Vanevenhoven, Vera (Harry) Myers, Helen (Don) Healy a sister-in-law, Dorothy Marolf and a brother-in-law, Bob Verbeten. The funeral liturgy will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2000 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Dave Hoffman officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
