- Van Dyke, Robert M. "Bob"Robert M. "Bob" Van Dyke, age 85, Appleton, passed away at home peaceful ly in his sleep on December 3, 2005. He was born in Wrightstown on March 2 6, 1920, to the late Arnold and Anna (Gerrits) Van Dyke. He married Dor is R. Ellenbecker on October 15, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Apple ton. He was employed at Hoffer Glass Company for 39 years until his retire ment in 1985. He was a generous man and volunteered his time at St There se Catholic Church and St. Vincent de Paul. Bob enjoyed making wood craft s, gardening, and spending time with his family and dog "Missy."He is survived by his wife, Doris of 56 years; seven children, Linda (Robe rt) Gunther of Glen, Miss.; Mary (Tom) Borchardt of Wisconsin Rapids; Car ol (Ron) Rank of Kaukauna; Eileen (Lyle) Fischer of Greenville; Robert (La urie) Van Dyke of Weyauwega; Pauline (Richard) Mader of Kaukauna; and Pau la (Brian) Reichert of Menasha; one brother and sister, Harvey (Irene) V an Dyke and Alrita (John) Wisneski; brother-in-law, Edward (Bernice) Ellen becker; four sister-in-laws, Clara Van Dyke, Amy Geiger, Joan (Glenn) Schn eider, and Marilyn (Don) Schlaefer; 20 grandchildren and one great grandch ild.He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers, Catherine Meul emans, Clara Nieling, Leona Van De Ley Graaf, Richard Van Dyke, and Claren ce Van Dyke; and son-in-law, Mark Weiland.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005 at St. T herese Catholic Church, 213 E. Wisconsin Ave., with Fr. Bill Hoffman offic iating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at t he church. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park.In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund is being establis hed.
