- Madelyn A. Bergeron, 91, Kaukauna, died on Friday, March 4, 2011, at Crestwood Senior Living. Madelyn was born on May 19, 1919, to the late Josephine and John Siebers in Kaukauna, Wis. She married Louis C. Bergeron on Sept. 19, 1940, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kaukauna, and together they raised three children.
Madelyn worked at Campbell's Clothing Store for many years, as well as being a homemaker. She belonged to the Catholic Women's Society and enjoyed gardening, baking, decorating her home and spending time with family and friends. Each year at Christmas, family and friends would look forward to her delicious homemade cookies.
She is survived by three children, her eldest son, Kenneth (Laura) Bergeron, and his five children, Ken, Jr. (Jackie) Bergeron, Michele (Doug) Amend, Keith Bergeron, Monique (Jacek) Chmielewski and Kevin (Marcie) Bergeron; a daughter, Carol Ann (Don) Pfeffer, and their four daughters, Sheila (Terry) Buck, Katrina (Scott) Hampton, Nicole (Patrick) Butler and Donielle (Michael) Treve; youngest son, Gary Bergeron, and his son, Jason; and many great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her three brothers, Art, Ron and Floyd Siebers; one sister, Lorraine Stoeger; four sisters-in-law, Vivian Siebers, Julitta Bergeron, Janice Siebers and Mary Siebers; and one brother-in-law, Roger Olm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 64 years, Louis Bergeron; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frances and Joseph Bergeron; a great-granddaughter; her brothers, Harvey, Bing, Dave and Jerry Siebers; her sisters, Cordell Ringwelski, Betty Schaefer, Laverne Johnson and Florence Siebers; sisters-in-law, Mary Bergeron, Marge Fischer and Millie Olm; and brothers-in-law, Joe and Jim Bergeron, John Stoeger, Cletus Schaefer and Frank Ringwelski.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 W. 7th St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors celebrating. Friends will be received at church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
