  Saint Cloud Times; Henry A. Kunkel , 81 , Luxemburg , May 29, 2002Services will be on Monday, June 3, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wendelin 's Catholic Church in Luxemburg for Henry A. Kunkel, age 81, formerly of L uxemburg, who died Wednesday, May 29, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Revere nd Leon Slominski and Reverend Charles Kunkel, OSC will officiate. Buri al will be in the St. Wendelin's parish Cemetery in Luxemburg.Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Daniel Fu neral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to the services at Mary Ha ll in Luxemburg. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. followed by the St. W endelin-St. Theresa Society at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral ho me in St. Cloud. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.Henry was born on July 17, 1920, in Pearl Lake, Minnesota to Joseph K. a nd Angela (Steichen) Kunkel. He married Florence Klaverkamp on January 2 0, 1944, at St. Mary's Help of Christian's Catholic Church in St. August a, Minnesota. Henry farmed in St. Augusta Township, Stearns County unt il he retired in 1978 and moved to St. Cloud. He has been a resident of t he Sterling Park Commons in Waite Park since August of 2000. He serv ed on the Board of Directors for the Associated Milk Producers Incorporat ed (AMPI). Henry was a member of St. Wendelin's Parish, and the St. Wendel in-St. Theresa Society.Survivors include his three sons, Roger of Waite Park, Dennis and his wi fe Ginny of Pittsburgh, PA, and Dave and his wife Lee Ann of Clearwater; f ive grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Louise Unterberg er of Watkins; one brother, Aloysius "Fritz" of Land O' Lakes, FL.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Florence on May 19, 199 7; three brothers, Roman, Vince, Alfred; three sisters, Bertha Schutz, Ang eline Flis, Mathilda Kaufman. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.Henry's family would like to extend its appreciation to the staff of Sterl ing Park Commons for their gracious care and friendship.
