  Weyers, Lucy A.(Kempen)Formerly of Black Creek, Lucy (Kempen) Weyers, age 89, passed away on Augu st 22, 2003 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. She was born Apr il 26, 1914 in Catawba, Wisconsin. She was the second daughter of the la te Peter and Magdalena (Berube) Kempen. Lucy was united in marriage to Jos eph P. Weyers on August 4, 1936. They were together for 56 years. He prece ded her in death April 8, 1993. They lived in Prentice, where they farm ed until 1948, when they moved to Black Creek. They farmed in Black Cre ek until 1970 and retired on Clark Street. Lucy was a homemaker all her ma rried life and took great care in her home and family, seeing to their nee ds. She also loved to cook for her friends and Priests. She was a memb er of St. Mary Catholic Church since 1948, where she was devoted to the ch urch activities and the Christian Mothers Club. She traveled all over t he United States and she loved to watch the Packers play and pray they wou ld always win.She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Lawrence (Beatric e) Weyers, Black Creek; Louis (Sherry) Weyers, Greenville; two daughters a nd sons-in-law: Mary (Jerry) Glodowski, Neenah; Dolores (Joe) Van Boxte l, Neenah. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildre n, a sister, Flecite Bartelt, Milwaukee; a brother, Stephan Kempen, Philli ps, WI; two sisters-in-law: Alice Kempen, Phillips; Marge Kempen, Catawb a; a brother-in-law, Ray (Joan) Weyers, Chattanooga, TN; a sister-in-la w, Barbara Weyers, Little Chute; many nieces and nephews.Lucy was preceded in death by an infant son, a brother, Joseph; a siste r, Marie Neville; and a brother-in-law, Elmer Bartelt.Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home 358 South Main St., Seymo ur Monday August 25, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesd ay August 26, 2003 after 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Black Cre ek until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at the chur ch with Reverend Theodore J. Hendricks officiating. The burial wi ll be in the parish cemetery.The family wishes to thank the staff of Good Shepherd Nursing Home for a ll their special care and concern given to Lucy.
