- Gehring, Norman A., FreedomNorman A. Gehring, Freedom, died Monday, September 15, 2003 at the Francis can Care Center, Appleton after a three-week stay. He was born on May 1 9, 1916 in Freedom, the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Daul) Gehrin g. He was united in marriage to Bernadette Liebergen on May 7, 1938 at S t. Margaret Mary Church, Neenah. He lived in Freedom all his life, farmin g, as well as working at Foremost Foods. Norman was a lifetime member of S t. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bernadette; two daughters and sons -in-law: Vi (Len) Landwehr, Legend Lake, Keshena; and Pearl (Paul) Gree n, Freedom; a son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd (Sandy) Gehring, Freedom; ni ne grandchildren: Greg (Lynn) Landwehr, Chris (Andrea) Landwehr, Michael ( Brenda) Landwehr, David (Cindy) Landwehr, Mark (Cindy) Green, Tom (Angi e) Green, Todd (Lori) Gehring, Tracy (Bob) Gavronski, and Tim (Kim) Gehrin g; also, nineteen great-grandchildren.Norman was preceded in death by two grandsons: Steven and Patrick Gree n; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Cliff Nabbefeldt; three brother s: John (Rose) Gehring, William and Joseph Gehring.Friends may call at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom on Thursday, Sep tember 18, 2003 after 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Mass of Chri stian Burial will be at 12 p.m. (noon) at the church with Father Dennis Ry an and Deacon Don Newhouse officiating. The burial will be in the parish c emetery. The Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family .The family would like to thank the staff at the Franciscan Care Center f or all their care and concern while Norman was there, especially Mary; als o, they would like to acknowledge Beth and Kim of the Appleton Cardiolo gy Center.
