  Weyenberg, Matthew T., To wn of VandenbroekAge 96, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 22, 2003. He was bo rn in the Town of Vandenbroek on December 20, 1906; son of the late Theodo re and Georgiana (Jansen) Weyenberg. On September 16, 1936 he married Loui se Seegers in Darboy. She preceded him in death in 1946. He then married V irginia Kortz on November 27, 1948. They enjoyed over 50 years together a nd celebrated their golden anniversary in 1998. Matt worked at Thilmany Pu lp and Paper for seventeen years. He then operated a dairy farm in the To wn of Vandenbroek until his retirement in 1961. When he first operated t he farm he raised bees and made his own honey. Following his retiremen t, he continued living at the farm. The Town of Vandenbroek recently celeb rated their 100th Centennial Celebration and Matt was recognized as the ol dest living person in the township.Matt is survived by his wife Virginia; daughter, Marlene (Ray) Wildenbe rg of Freedom; grandchildren: Lynn Wildenberg, Mark (Kathy) Wildenberg, Ge rald (Lisa) Wildenberg, James (Cheryl) Wildenberg, Jeff (Shelley) Wildenbe rg, and Amy (Dustin) DeWitt; great-grandchildren: Christopher and Craig Wi ldenberg, Ryan, Rachel, Emily and Zachary Wildenberg, Hailee and Taressa W ildenberg; Eric, Brandon and Spencer DeWitt, Kaitlin and Trey Wildenber g, and Nicholas and Ashley Gerrits; brother, Henry Weyenberg, Little Chut e; sisters: Dora Hogan, New Jersey; and Hattie Fox, Little Chute.Matt is preceded in death by his first wife Louise; great-granddaughter, B ecky Wildenberg; brother, George (Clara) Weyenberg; sisters: Mary (Bill) V an Dera, Ann (Peter) Dercks, Rose (Chris) Vanden Heuvel, and Frances Weyen berg; brothers-in-law: George Fox and Clem Hogan; and sisters-in-law: Mar ie Dercks Weyenberg and Florence Weyenberg.The funeral liturgy will be at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2003 at HO LY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Fr iends will be received at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of t he liturgy.
