- FRANK SCHREITER DIES AT HOSPITAL
Death Of Daughter Hastens End For Former Appleton Merchant Frank Schreiter, 80, 670 Stare st. former Appleton merchant. died Thursday night at St. Elizabeth Hos- pital after a prolonged illness. He had been at the hospital since early in the week and his death was hastened by the loss of his daughter, Mary, who died a week ago. Mr. Schreiter was born in Germany and came to the United States at the
age of 15 with his parents who lo- cated in the town or Ellington. Upon leaving home to earn his own liveli-hood as a young man he engaged in the grocery business at Hortonville with A. Graef. He made his home there for several years. Upon disposing of his business interests in Hortonville he came to Ap-pleton and erected a farmers' hotel where Hotel Northern now stands. After-conducting it for several years he sold it and went into the furniture business from which he retired four years ago after being engaged in it for 44 years. He is survived by one son. Frank Schreiter, Jr., one daughter, Anna M. Schreiter; and by three grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning from St. Joseph church with burial at St. Joseph ceme-
