- Reginald J. Gloudemans, Town of MenashaAge 84, died on Saturday, January 6, 2001, at his home. Reginald was bo rn on November 4, 1916, in Little Chute, son of the late Martin and Mart ha (Vandenberg) Gloudemans. He married Julia Van Zeeland on July 21, 194 5, and they have enjoyed 55 years of marriage. He served in the United Sta tes Army during World War II from April 9, 1941, to September 25, 194 5. He was overseas with the 135th Medical Regiment for 34 months in the So uthwest Pacific Area. Reginald was employed as a plumbing inspector for t he City of Appleton for over 19 years, until his retirement in 1973, and w as a past president of the Wisconsin Society of Plumbing Inspectors. He w as also one of the founders of the East Central Wisconsin Plumbing Inspect ors Association. Reginald was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Chur ch in Appleton since 1953. He is a Life Member of Council 607 Knights of C olumbus, a member of American Legion Post 38, and a member of the 135th Me dical Regiment Association. Reginald is survived by his wife Julia; four c hildren, Paul (Donna) Gloudemans, Flanders, New Jersey; Louise (James) Zel ler, Appleton; Jeff (Jean) Gloudemans, Kokomo, Indiana; Eileen (Douglas) T homas, Appleton; two sisters, Geraldine Van Zeeland, Little Chute; Elai ne Doyle, La Habra, California; six grandchildren, Diana (Mark) Wolff, Lau ra Zeller, Chad and Ross Thomas, Kathryn and James Gloudemans; and five si sters-in-law, Dorothy Gloudemans, Sister Cecilia Van Zeeland, Ann Schneide r, Donata Wolfgram and Myra (Russell) Dercks. He is further survived by ma ny nieces and nephews. Reginald was preceded in death by a brother, Quinti n, and a sister, Evelyn. Reginald's Funeral Service will be held at 11 a. m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2001, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 Ea st Fremont Street, Appleton, with Father Robert Karuhn officiating. Entomb ment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the fu neral home on Tuesday, January 9, from 6 until 8 p.m., and again at the ch urch from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A Prayer Service will be he ld at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
