- Grace A. Sanderfoot, 83, formerly of Darboy, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home in Green Bay. She was born December 4, 1929, in Darboy, daughter of the late Peter and Harriet Behling. On June 24, 1950, Grace married Donald Sanderfoot. Grace was a wonderful cook, specializing in her homemade pies, and she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and playing cards. For many years she was employed at Gimbels Department Store as a sales associate. In her retirement, she and Don enjoyed spending time up at their cottage on Post Lake in Elcho, WI. She also worked part time at Stitches in Little Chute and at Kings Variety in Kaukauna. Grace was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #258, Little Chute.
Grace is survived by her daughters: Julie (Brian) Lani, Green Bay and Laurie (Tom) Miller, Highlands Ranch, CO; grandchildren: Chris (Kelly) Lani, Jacqueline Lani, Dan Lux, Lisa Lux and Beth Lux; great granddaughter, Avery Lux; sister in law: Eleanor Behling; brother in law: Jim (Barb) Sanderfoot; and many other special family members and friends.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; a sister, Evelyn Spierings; a brother, Edward Behling; a brother in law, John Spierings; a Godson, John Sanderfoot.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
Grace's family would like to thank the amazing staff at Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home in Green Bay, especially the nurses on Mulberry Meadow, the Alzheimer's wing, for their amazing care of Grace. We will be forever grateful to you. Thank you.
