  Mrs. George J. Schmitt, (Ruth M. Despins), 315 W. 8th St. Kaukauna Age 62, died Monday, February 25, 1985, following a one year illness. She was born July 23, 1922 in Kaukauna. She was a life long resident. Mrs. Schmitt was a member of St. Mary Cathoic Church and the Altar Society. Survivors include her husband, George; five daughters and four sons-in-law; Sue and Don LaBudde, Appleton; Nancy and John Mainville, Sharie and Rich Kelly, Lori and Rob Bain, all of Kaukauna; Cindy, at home; six sons and five daughters-in-law; Bill and Cindy, Ted and Judy, Vern and Robin, Dave and Sallie, Dale and LuAnn and Victor, all of Kaukauna; 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Minnie Despins and twin infant sons, George and John. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with the Rev. Theodore Hendricks officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday morning until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a 7:30 p.m. prayer service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
