- Edward I. Milbach, age 83, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, January 17, 2011. Eddie was born in Kaukauna on December 20, 1927 to the late Issac and Thelma (Strong) Milbach. He was a graduate of Appleton High School class of 1946. In 1949, he was united in marriage to Rose Ann "Mickey" Riley at St. Therese Catholic Church, Appleton. The couple have enjoyed over 61 years together. Eddie worked for American Can/James River Paper Co. for 40 years retiring in 1989. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at his cottage, and also loved spending time with his grandchildren. Eddie has been a member at St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton, for many years.
He is survived by his wife Rose Ann "Mickey" Milbach, Appleton; three daughters: Ann (Angelo) Castillo, Madison, Judy (Todd) Fischer, Appleton, and Mary (Randey) Felton, Appleton; two sons: William (Betsy) Milbach, St. Paul, MN, and Miles (Lonnie) Finger, Appleton; nine grandchildren: Brian Castillo, Tyler, Cory, and Emily Milbach, Kira and Kendra Fischer, Lauren, Lexy, and Zachary Felton; two brothers: Aubrey Milbach, Appleton, and Kenny (Sharon) Milbach, Shiocton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Tim, sister Ethel, and sister in law Nancy Milbach.
A Memorial Service for Eddie will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 24, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 212 S. State St. Appleton, with Father James Leary, OFM Cap officiating. Friends may call directly at the church Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
