- Voster, Vernon B., Appleton Age 77, died Sunday, February 22, 2004 at his home. He was born in Kimber ly on November 1, 1926 to the late Herman and Agnes (Schuh) Voster. On Ju ne 15, 1949 he married Ruth Jamison. Vern was a charter member of St. Pi us X Catholic Church. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army. Ve rn worked for the City of Appleton Fire Department for 28 years. He enjoy ed woodworking, gardening, spending time up north at his cottage, fishi ng and restoring tractors.He will be sadly missed by his wife, Ruth; children: Sherry Wegner, De Per e; Jean Voster, Tomah; Mike (Kathy) Voster, Lynne (Rory) Moore and Lori (A ndy) Vance, all of Appleton; sisters: Laoma Anderson, Kenosha; Esther Bart els, Kaukauna; sister-in-law, Janice Voster, Neenah; brother-in-law, Ea rl Frederick, Appleton; grandchildren: Reggie, Rodney and Ryan Wegner, Sco tt and Jill Voster, Megan, Steven and Jeffrey Moore, Jess Vance; family fr iend, Ervin Wegner; other relatives and friends. In addition to his paren ts he was preceded in death by his brothers: Clyde and Herbert Voster a nd sister, Marie Frederick.The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, February 26, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at S t. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St. with Father Mark Vander St eeg and Msgr. John Schuh officiating. The visitation will be Thursday at t he church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Entombment will be in Hig hland Memorial Park.
