- Hietpas, Robert J. "Bob"Robert J. Hietpas, age 66, passed away December 8, 2005, as the resu lt of an accident on January 5, 2005. He was born August 4, 1939, to Jose ph and Rose (Janssen) Hietpas, in Appleton, where he graduated from Applet on High School in 1957. Following his graduation, Bob served with the U. S. Air Force for four years. Bob had been employed by the Appleton Post-Cr escent for 30 years, retiring in 1996. He coached Little League Baseball a nd Pop Warner Football and was an avid Cub and Packer fan. Bob enjoyed gol f, watching his grandchildren's ball games and his afternoon Social Cl ub at Grumpy's. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Tackett) Hietpas, to whom he had been m arried for 41 years; three children: Michael (Deanna) Hietpas, New Berli n; Julie (Rick) Reader, Appleton; Mark (Colleen) Hietpas, Appleton; his mo ther, Rose Hietpas, Appleton; nine grandchildren: McKenna and Zach Hietpa s, Emma, Matthew and Joey Reader, Dawson, Dylan, Chloe and Max Hietpas; th ree brothers: Marv (Polly) Hietpas, Appleton; Gary (Barb) Hietpas, Appleto n; Don (Kris) Hietpas, Appleton; a sister-in-law, Rita Wieczorek, Darbo y; nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Hietpas, his father, Jo seph Hietpas, a brother, Rick Hietpas and his mother and father-in-law: K en and Anita Tackett.The funeral liturgy will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2005, at S T. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, with Father Larry Abl er officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Frien ds may call at the church from 3 p.m. Monday, until the time of the mas s. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for Spinal Co rd Research, through the Christopher Reeve Foundation.Words cannot describe our gratitude to all our friends, family and care gi vers for their love, prayers and support during this past year.
