- Norman W. "Porky" Reybrock, age 81, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 200 4. He was born on May 16, 1923 in Little Chute son of the late William a nd Mary (Ebben-VanMun) Reybrock. Norm married Marie Maes on June 1, 19 46 in Kaukauna, Wis. and spent the next 58 years married to the love of h is life. Mr. Reybrock was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Churc h, Little Chute where he ushered for over 30 years and was also a memb er of the Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time at the cottage wi th his family and also enjoyed bowling, fishing, horseshoes, playing car ds and following sports. He was always heard humming a tune, pulling a pra ctical joke or telling a story. Norm spent endless hours with his childr en and grandchildren teaching, by example, the values of family, faith, la ughter and love.
Norm is survived by his wife, Marie and their ten children; Gary (Dotty) R eybrock; Joan (Ron) Remiker; Patricia Austin; John (Carol) Reybrock; Pa ul (Vicki) Reybrock; Susan (Gary) Van Hoof; Linda (John) Kappell; Barba ra (Tim) Kilgas; Janet (Jim) Geiger; and Steve (Therese) Reybrock, 35 gran dchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, L iz Pieters; Joan (Werner) Fahl; Paul (Margaret) Maes; John ( Sharon) Mae s; Dan (Jeanne) Maes; Bernice Maes and Jim (Doris) VandenHeuvel; numero us nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, especially the Pieter s' family.
Norm was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Nick (Jackie) a nd Pete Reybrock; a half-brother, John Van Mun; a son-in-law, Todd Austi n; and two infant great-granddaughters, Halle and Maria Vosters; his mothe r-in-law and father-in-law, Henry and Rose (Hoks) Maes; a sister-in-law, D orothy VandenHeuvel; brothers-in-law, Henry Maes, Matt Hopfensperger and s pecial friend and brother-in-law Vic Pieters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2004 at St. Jo hn Nepomucene Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiati ng. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may ca ll at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and at the chur ch from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a m emorial has been established.
The Reybrock family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff on the 2 nd floor south at St. Elizabeth Hospital, plus their neighbor's, the Wega nd family for their loving care and support.
