- DEATH OF MRS. THEO. AERTS.
She Passed Away Saturday, Nov. 28, from Heart Trouble.
At 7 a. m. Saturday, Nov. 28, Mrs. Theodore Aerts, respected resident of David City, passed away at her home in North David City from heart trouble, with which she had suffered for two years. She was nearly 73 years of age.
Mrs. Aerts' maiden name was Mary Hassen. She was born in Holland January 25, 1853. After coming to the United States she was united in marriage to Theodore Aerts at Green Bay, Wis., on October 2, 1877. They then came to Nebraska and Butler county and resided on their farm in Center township until moving to David City in March, 1910.
Surviving Mrs. Aerts are her husband and four children, Mrs. F. H. Herb of Banks, Ore., Mrs. Peter Vanderheiden of David City, Frank Aerts of Center township and Leo Aerts of Bank, Ore. One son, Martin Aerts, preceded his mother in death. Mrs. Aerts also leaves one brother, Henry Hassen, living in Salem, Ore.
Rev. Bernard Sproll had charge of the funeral services, which were held in St. Mary's Catholic church, David City, on Tuesday morning, Dec. 1. Theodore Brochtrup, Barney Eiting, Herman Ficke, John Hein, John Lanspa and Herman Markus were pallbearers. Burial was in St. Francis cemetery, Center township.
Mrs. Herb and Leo Aerts came from Banks, Ore., several days prior to their mother's death and were present at the funeral.
Mrs. Aerts was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and of the Altar society.
She was a woman whose life was filled with kindly deeds.

PASSING OF MRS. THEODORE AERTS
Sunday morning of November 29 marked the passing of Mrs. Theodore Aerts at her home in north David City. Mrs. Aerts was a great sufferer of heart trouble and had been in failing health for the past two years, being bedfast only two days prior to her death.
Deceased was born on Jan. 25, 1853 in Sevenum, Holland and when but eighteen years of age came to this country with her parents.
On October 2nd 1877 she was united in marriage to Theodore Aerts in Greenbay, Wisconsin, coming directly to Center Township where they settled on a farm they made their home for many years. Some 16 years ago they moved to town where they spent their retiring days.
To Mr. and Mrs. Aerts were born five children four of whom are living: Mrs. Frank Herb and Leo G. Aerts of Banks, Oregon, Mrs. Peter Vanderheiden and Frank Aerts of this City. Martin Aerts a son died fifteen years ago.
Beside the children the deceased leaves a devoted husband who was at her side until the last also one brother Henry Heesen of Salem, Oregon.
The children were present at the death of their mother.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 9 o'clock from the St. Marys Catholic church where Mrs. Aerts had always been a staunch member and believer.
Father Kramer said mass and Father Sproll preached the funeral services.
Burial took place in the Center Cemetery with Father O'Sullivan performing the burial services.
Acting pall bearers were: John Lanspa, Barney Eiting, John Hein, Theodore Brocktrup, Herman Ficke and Herman Marcus.
