- Appleton - Melody Delzer, Appleton, age 62, died peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at her home after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 2, 1955 in Appleton, Wisconsin, the daughter of Orville Crane and Shirley Pennings. Melody worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at various locations throughout the Fox Valley. She also worked for Touch Point Insurance for many years. She retired from Theda Care Central Scheduling this spring. On July 28, 1973, Melody married Dan Delzer in Dale, Wisconsin; they were married for 44 years.
Melody is survived by her parents, Orville (Linda) Crane, Greenville, Shirley Hartfiel, Kimberly, her husband Dan, Appleton, a loving daughter, Kara Delzer, Combined Locks, and her 3 grandchildren: Austin, Kaelyn and Camdyn; she is further survived by her mother-in-law, Betty Delzer, New London and a brother-in-law, Ken Delzer; brother, Steven (Peggy) Crane, sister, Jean (Chuck) Bintzler, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Melody was preceded in death by her son, Erich and brother Greg.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, WI. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery, Dale, WI. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 11:00 am until the time of service.
