- Haupt, Robert LeeRobert Lee Haupt "Bob," age 58, Little Chute, passed away Saturday, Septem ber 3, 2005, at Appleton Medical Center surrounded by his family after a c ourageous battle with cancer. He was born, November 22, 1946, in Little Ch ute, son of Joseph and Martha (Winius) Haupt. Bob married Kathy Vandenber g, September 14, 1968, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chut e, where he was a lifetime member. He was a former member of the Army Rese rves. Bob was employed at Thilmany's for 36 years, most recently as a mas on until his retirement in 2003. He enjoyed time spent with family and fri ends at the cottage on Roberts Lake. He was a huge NASCAR fan, enjoyed sno wmobiling, fishing, golfing and hunting. The family trip to Mexico in 20 03 was a cherished memory by Bob and his family. The "special gals" in Bob 's life will always remember the crafts given to them at Christmas time ev ery year.Bob will be deeply missed by his wife, Kathy; his mother, Martha Haupt, Li ttle Chute; daughter, Karrie (Doug) Thompson, Little Chute; son, Brian (Pa tti) Haupt, Little Chute; grandchildren: Tori Jo and Tyler Haupt and Ja ke and Lexie Thompson; sisters: Carol (John) Baker, Appleton and Chris Hau pt, Little Chute; mother- and father-in-law: Margaret and Ray Vandenber g, Little Chute; brothers-in-law: Bob (Sue), Mike, Gary (Mary) and Dan (De b) Vandenberg; sister-in-law, Lori (Tom) Paque; Godchildren: Michelle Fr ye and Mark Vandenberg; numerous nieces and nephews.Bob was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Haupt in 1987.Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at S t. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. Patrick Beno of ficiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends m ay call at the church from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the mass.The family would like to thank the staff at the Martha Siekman Center, D r. William Guenther, Appleton Medical Center 3 South, the ICU unit and nur ses for their loving care of Bob. Also all the support shown to the enti re family from friends, neighbors, family and fellow parishioners over t he last few years is greatly appreciated.Papa, thank you for all of the great memories, we'll always love you.
