  Roskom, Verona L.Verona L. Roskom, Seymour, 86, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 1 2, 2005, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. She was born Augu st 8, 1919 in the Town of Cicero, the daughter of the late Robert and Edi th (Pingel) Abel. On November 25, 1936, she was united in marriage to Arno ld Roskom. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2000. Verona and her h usband farmed in Cicero Township until their retirement and still resid ed there. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymou r, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers.She was also a member of the Cicero Busyfingers Homemaker Club. Verona’s f avorite thing to do was being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed garden ing and she took pride in remembering all her family members on their birt hdays - from cards to making birthday cakes. She never forgot.She is survived by her children: Roger (Sandy), Seymour; Ione Zahn, Seymou r; Dennis (Rosie), Black Creek; Connie (Bob) Banker, Seymour; Allen (Cindy ), Appleton; David (special friend, Noreen), Kaukauna; Linda Roskom, Seymo ur; Bill (Kay), Black Creek; Carol Storma (special friend, Dennis), Seymou r; Pat Marohl, (special friend, Rich), Shawano; Virginia Van Lannen (speci al friend, Brian) Green Bay; a special family member, Brian (Kelly) Diedri ck, Oneida; 54 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, and five great- grea t-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by two sons: Steven and Ronald, a son-in-law, Ro nald Zahn, a granddaughter, a great-grandson, and two brothers and a siste r.Friends may call at the Muehl-Beottcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Sey mour, on Friday, October 14, 2005 from 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer servi ce at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at S t. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 915 Ivory St., Seymour, from 10 a. m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Father Bob Kabat of ficiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Good Sheph erd Nursing Home and Heartland Hospice, for all their special care and con cern.A memorial fund has been established to Cancer and Alzheimer’s research.
