- Patrick John Peter Jansen, Sr. passed from this world into the arms of Jes us on Wednesday, November 23, 2005, surrounded by his family. Patrick w as born on November 6, 1934 to the late Martin Sr. and Cora Jansen in Appl eton. He was united in marriage to Carol Theresa Kohl on August 29, 195 9. Patrick and Carol were blessed with four beautiful children. Patrick at tended school in Kimberly prior to joining the military. He enlisted in t he U.S. Marine Corps, bravely serving his country during the Korean War. F ollowing his service with the military, Patrick was employed by Kimberly-C lark for the next 43 years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed fishing on Lake W innebago until the storms chased him off the water, camping with his child ren when they were little, woodworking and carving animals, and being t he handyman for his entire family.Patrick will be greatly missed by his children and their families: Geral yn (Wayne) Gassmann of Broken Arrow, OK and their children, Wayne, Jr., Jo shua and Jeremiah; Rita (Gregory) Breaker of Hortonville and their childre n, Matthew, Justin, Kayla, Mitchell and Jesse; Carol (Kevin) Manteuf el of West Bend and their children, Keegan, Mandie, Tiffany, Aubrey, Tabat ha, Quinn and Gwynn; Patrick (Jean) Jansen of Menasha and their childre n, Lucas and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his sisters: Mathilda Stuyv enberg and Dorothy Jansen, both of Appleton; a brother: Archie Jansen of C ombined Locks; his best friends, Dusty Albracht and John Marciniak; his fr iends, Nick and Dee Nakonecky and John Hovie; and his loyal canine compani on, Grace.Patrick was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his sister Ann Lemmers, h is brothers Martin Jr. and Martinez, and his precious grandchildren Betha ny Gassmann and Owen Manteufel.The memorial service for Patrick will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Novemb er 27, 2005 at JANSEN FARGO FUNERAL HOME with Fr. Richard Allen officiatin g.
