- Van Camp, Elizabeth "Bet ty" nee Heimmermann; Elizabeth "Betty" Van Camp, age 72, died peacefully Sunday, July 2, 20 06 at Appleton Medical Center with her family by her side, after a lengt hy illness. She was born on April 7, 1934 in Appleton, WI to the late Mich ael and Leone (Julius) Heimmermann. She married Ervin "Farmer" Van Ca mp on April 28, 1951 and shared 55 years together on the farm at 5632 N. R ichmond St., Appleton until two years ago where they moved to their new ho me at 1451 Broadway Dr. Appleton, which was Dad's family farm.She was a member of St Edwards Catholic Church, Mackville, WI and was a li fetime member of the Christian Mother's. She and Erv farmed for most of th eir married life until two years ago. She was president of the Home Scho ol Association for one year when her children attended St. Edward's and s he started the fish fry on Friday's to make money for playground equipme nt for the school. She also managed the hamburger and food stand during t he Mackville Tractor Pulls. She enjoyed going camping with their good frie nds Ray and Bev Gasper and loved her trips to Hawaii with her mom and E rv and to Europe. She also loved get togethers with family and friends a nd a friendly game of Sheepshead. Her mom and herself loved to go to ceram ic classes at Marion Zitszleburger's in Hilbert, WI. They also went to T op meetings and got the crown a couple of times. Her favorite hobby was h er doll collection.She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Ervin "Farmer"; her childr en: Charlotte (Ken) Gassner, Hortonville; Ervin "Buster" (June) Jr., Apple ton; Ronald (LeeAnn Kells), Appleton; Donald (Penny), Seymour; Tim, Applet on; Laura (Kelvin) Kimball, Black Creek; William "Willy" (Reena) Appleto n; nephew, Randy (Sarah) Van Camp, Appleton; 21 grandchildren and ten grea t-grandchildren; sister, Audrey Dahlke, Appleton; brother, Damian (Phylli s) Heimmermann, Hortonville; sisters-in-law, Audrey Heimmermann; Dorothy ( Earl) Pettis, Appleton; Rosemary Turek, Black Creek; brother-in-law, Alfr ed (Hilda) Van Camp, Appleton.Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her uncle Fritz Heimmermann; h er brother Ray; her baby sister Mary; five brother-in-laws,: Gordon Bunnel l, Monroe Dahlke, Edward Turek, Victor Ringel, Lawrence Boers; sister-in-l aw Lorraine Boers; grand-daughter Jessica Gassner; and her great- grandba by Gabriel Gassner.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 12 p.m. at St. Ed wards Catholic Church, Mackville with Father Brooks and Father Werner offi ciating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at the churc h. Interment will be at St. Edward's Cemetery.We would like to thank all the staff members on the 4th floor, membe rs of the ICU on the 2nd floor at AMC for their loving care and suppo rt we received during our Mom's illness. Special Thanks also to Bonnie Sch efe, Kathy Wege and her God-Daughter Jan, for their loving care.Mom, thank you for being a great wife, a great mom and a special grandmoth er.
