- See Image Old Settler Dies, another widely known resident of Holland town Henry Micke was called to his eternal resting place Saturday morning at 630. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. Henry Micke was born in Germany 87 years ago, coming to this country 50 years ago settling at Holland where he has made his home since. He is one of the oldest and best known pioneers of this community. His wife died several years ago. He is survived by the following children, Henry, of Thorpe; Barney, Theodore, Mrs. Onkels, Mrs. Jaeckels and Mrs. Wittmann of Holland town and one daughter Lizzie who's in the convent at Racine. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 10:00 at St. Francis Catholic Church with internment in the family lot. Deceased was a kind father and husband and a good neighbor. He was a devout Christian. He was a man of many good qualities which won him his large circ le of friends.
Henry Micke and old and respected citizen of Dundas died early Saturday mo rning at the home of his son, Theodore, with whom he had been making his home. Deceased was a member of St. Francis and St. Joseph societies who attended the funeral in the body. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 1 0:00 from St. Francis Catholic Church Rev. J. Van Derelsen officiating.
