- Bauer, James M.James M. Bauer, age 77, of New Holstein, passed away on Monday, May 15, 20 06, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton. He was born May 30, 192 8, in Kaukauna, a son of the late Paul and Anna Killoran Bauer. On June 1 9, 1954, he married Rosalie Boni in Oswego, New York. Jim served in the U. S. Coast Guard. He was very active in community affairs.Jim was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein, a memb er of the New Holstein Kiwanis Club, the New Holstein American Legion Po st 124, the New Holstein Knights of Columbus Council 12393 and a 4th Degr ee member of the Appleton Knights of Columbus.Jim especially liked working with young people; having served as a Drama D irector for many years. He was employed at the M&I Bank in New Holstein f or 30 years as Vice President. He served as New Holstein Municipal Judge f or six years.James is survived by Rosalie, his wife of 51 years; two sons: Timothy (Cla re) Bauer of Madison, Andrew (Maureen) Bauer of New Glarus; two daughter s: Kathleen (Charles) Fett and Paula (William) Pethan, both of New Holstei n; ten grandchildren whom he loved dearly; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Bau er of North Fond du Lac; a brother-in-law, Lloyd Jack of Appleton and niec es and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dolores Jack; and two b rothers, Paul Jr. and Tom Bauer.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2 006, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Rev. Harold Berryma n, Pastor, will officiate. Entombment will be at the Highland Memorial Pa rk Mausoleum in Appleton. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funer al Home, 2618 Altona Ave., New Holstein, on Thursday, May 18th from 4-8 p. m. and again at the funeral home on Friday from 9-10 a.m. when brief fami ly rites will be held at the funeral home. A prayer service will be he ld at 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.A memorial fund will be established for the Holy Rosary School operatio ns fund.The Sippel Funeral Home in New Holstein, 920-898-4300, is assisting the fa mily with arrangements.
