- Bellin, Beatrice G. (Bea) - Beatrice G. Bellin, 94, Greenville, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2007. She was born in the township of Madison in Clintonville on May 21, 1912, to the late Elvin and Mabel (Faneuf) Finger. Her first husband, Alvin Zitske, preceded her in death. Beatrice had two children, Lylia and Lyle I. Lylia passed away in 1936 at the age of 4 and Lyle passed away in 2004 at the age of 69. On November 12, 1949, Beatrice married Clarence Bellin. They farmed in the township of Maple Creek for 19 years before moving to Greenville in 1968. Beatrice always had a soft spot in her heart for her many "critters" on the farm. She had pet chickens, ducks, kittens, and dogs. She enjoyed fishing with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She loved to work in her flower and vegetable garden, make her own jellys and preserves from her many berries, weave rugs, sew quilts, crochet doilies, make Christmas ornaments, and enjoyed woodworking. She was a great cook and never let anybody go home hungry. She also loved a good game of cards and belonged to area senior citizen card clubs. Clarence and Beatrice were married for 41 wonderful years before Clarence passed away on March 30, 1990. Beatrice was a long time member of Emanuel Lutheran church in New London.
Beatrice is survived by her daughter-in-law, Rosella Zitske, Greenville; six grandchildren: Joann (Donald) Bartels, Greenville, Lyle (Dona) J. Zitske Sr., Weyauwega, Brenda (Bill) Bergmann, Hortonville, Annette (Joe) Koenig, Waunakee, LuWan (Kirk) Visocky, Hortonville, and Nancy (Martin) VanCamp, Greenville; 14 great-grandchildren: Stephanie and Andy (Amanda) Bartels, Lyle J. Zitske, Jr., Scott and Kate Bergmann, Dan and Lauren Koenig, Nick Umland, Morgan Murphy, Lexandra, Cole, Braden, Cassidy, and Macalla VanCamp; three great-step-grandchildren: Angie (Will) Campbell, Gary and Mandy Phillips, and five great-great-step-grandchildren; a sister, Rita Dexter, Oshkosh; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors. She is also survived by special friends, Paul and Diane Coonen and their family.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; daughter, Lylia; son, Lyle; a sister, Vecilda Young; and two infant brothers.
The Funeral Service for Bea will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London, with the Rev. William Heiges officiating. Visitation will be at Emanuel Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville.
Beatrice wanted to give special thanks to her physicians, Dr. Carlos Yu, Dr. Ram Turlapati, Dr. Hays Eldalati, and Dr. Stephen Dudley. Also special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph Residence of New London for their comfort and care of Beatrice.
