- Anna Mae Suprise, 89 of Appleton, died Monday February 20, 2017 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton. She was born in Greenville, December 19, 1927, daughter of the late Robert and Nellie (Gartland) Jamison. Anna married Laronzle "Larry" Suprise on September 11, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1995.
Anna graduated from Hortonville High School in 1945. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton. Faith was a very important part of Anna's life, and she made sure it was an important part of her family also. She loved to shop and work in her garden. Anna liked to spend her weekends up north, and caring for her pets. What Anna enjoyed most was the time spent with her family, especially her grand children and great grand children.
Anna is survived by her five children: four daughters: Kathy (Wayne) Juedes, Fox Crossing, Joan (Larry) Uhlenbrauck, Mountain, Elizabeth Kielbasa, Appleton, and Cheryl (Tim) Lecker, Town of Center; her son: Rodger (Jody) Suprise, Pine River; seven grand children: Carrie Chelberg, Christopher (Amy) Suprise, Tara (Joe) Piotrowski, Korina Kaye (fiancé Jason Neuber), Craig (Sonnet) Uhlenbrauck, Brian Uhlenbrauck (sp friend, Liz Foth), and Morgan Lecker; 13 great-grand children: Logan, Delaney, Bailee, Claire Chelberg, Ella, Helen Suprise, Makayla Lenz, Aidan Leon, Druis Kaye-O'Brien, Cody Uhlenbrauck, Jalyne Meulemans, Cole Seefeldt, and Caitlan Uhlenbrauck; two sisters: Rita Petit, Appleton, and Mary Tessen, New London; a sister in-law, Delrose (Norman) Tiedt, Clintonville; a brother in-law: Wally Hedtke, Appleton; and many other relatives and friends. Anna was further preceded in death by her twin sons, Gerald and Larry; daughter, Diane; son in-law, Frank "Mike" Kielbasa; three sisters: Margaret Suprise, Evelyn Hedtke and Ruth Voster; and her brother, Francis Jamison.
Mass of Christian burial for Anna will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday February 23, 2017 at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 W Lawrence St, Appleton, with Fr Jim Leary OFM CAP officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Thursday morning beginning at 9:00 until 10:45 AM, with Mass to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
Anna's family would like to extend a special thank you to those who visited her at The Bridges of Appleton; Dr. Sheila Thiel; Dr William Conkright and Dr. John Swanson Jr; from Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology; the entire staff at The Bridges of Appleton; the staff on the seventh floor at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton; ThedaCare at Home Hospice for all of their loving care and compassion. And especially to Anna's daughter, Elizabeth, for caring for her mother for the past 10 years.
