- See Image Herbert J. Weber, age 76, di ed Saturday, August 23rd, 1997 at Peabody Manor, Appleton. He was born De cember 25th, 1920 into Kaukauna, the son of the late Mathias and Anna (Rom enesko) Weber. Herb graduated from Kaukauna high-school in 1939. Duri ng and after high school he had been employed by a malt shop in Kaukaun a. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in European theater with a 95 th Infantry Division and was the recipient of the Bronze star. Herb marri ed Edith Mae Kirk on June 29th, 1946. He started Webers Furnace works a nd operated that business until retirement. He was a member of Holy Cro ss Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 1033, and the Allou ez Assembly #1199 4th degree. He is survived by a son and daughter in la w, Kirk and Judy Weber, of Bellwood, Alabama, two daughters and a son-in-l aw: Alice Rasmussen of Kaukauna; Ina and Rick Wenzler, of Port Washingto n; 11 grandchildren: Ryan and Mathias Weber, Jim, Carrie, Noah, Ben, Sara h, and Jacob Rasmussen, Jena, Hilary and Joe Wenzler; a brother and thr ee sisters in law: Charlie and Dorothy Weber, of Appleton; Mona Webe r, of Kaukauna; Florence Weber , of Kaukauna; a sister and brother in la w, Verona and Syl VanSchyndel, of Appleton, numerous nieces and nephew s. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Mae in 1989; four brother s: Mike, Ed, Louis (Elizabeth) and Nick (Edna) Weber; three sisters: There sa (Tony) Kons, Mayme (Carl) Specht, Katherine (Joe) West. The mass of re surrection will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 27th, 1997 at Holy Cro ss Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father David Hoffman officiating. Buri al will be in the Holy Cross cemetery.
