  Wahneta V. Filz, 90, formerly of Appleton, passed away at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King Wisconsin. Wahneta was born on January 25, 1923 to Paul and Anna (Bigalke) Kluge in Dale Wisconsin. On May 10, 1947 she married Merril F. Wilz and he preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. She will be sadly missed by her 2 sons: Robert (Kristine) Filz, North Dakota and Tom (Lori) Filz, Appleton; grandchildren: Linda McCrary, Tracy Bertlsman, Scott Filz, Tonya Filz and Larissa Filz, great-grandchildren: Grayson McCrary, John Bertlsman, Joseph Bertlsman and James Bertlesman; brothers: Marlin (Ellen) Kluge, Neenah and Paul (Elaine) Kluge, Neenah; sister Alma Beckman as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Merril Filz, her parents, siblings: Gertrude, Norma, Dorothy, Victor, Leo, Sylvester and Reno. At Wahneta's request, private funeral services were held.
