- Liesch, Joan P., 1611 North Al vin Street, AppletonAge 92, died Tuesday morning, August 5, 2003, at her home. She was born Ja nuary 16, 1911 to the late George and Petronella (Garlead) Driessen, in Ho lland. Joan moved to the United States with her family in 1925. On Decemb er 2, 1939, she married Orville E. Liesch.Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Thomas and Rita Liesc h, Alabama; Ralph Liesch, Appleton; two grandsons: Matthew Liesch, Fento n, MO; Erik Liesch, Granite City, IL; a brother, Peter (Kittie) Driesse n, California; a sister, Helen Driessen, Appleton; two sisters-in-law: Peg gy Driessen and Katherine Driessen, both of Appleton; numerous nieces, nep hews and friends. Preceding Joan in death is her husband, Orville E. Liesc h, five brothers: George Driessen, Jr., John Driessen, Ted Driessen, Arno ld Driessen and Joseph Driessen; and a sister, Marion Casper.Funeral services for Joan will be held at 10:00 am Friday, August 8, 200 3, at the funeral home with Jordan Kuczwara, Hospice Chaplain, officiatin g. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may ca ll at the funeral home, from 4-8 pm Thursday and on Friday from 9:00 am un til the time of the service.
