- Alfred M. Endres, age 88, for merly of Iola, died September 25th, 1998, at Colony Oaks Care center in Ap pleton. He was born August 10th, 1910, in the town of Harrison Waupaca Co unty, son of the late Mathias and Caroline (Cannaday) Endres. He married D elores M. Miller on May 20th, 1941. She died on January 22nd, 1944. He t hen married Pauline Romenesko Piette in 1945. She died in 1975. Alfred w ork at Mueller lumber company in Appleton as a truck driver and was a carp enter by trade, working over 25 years for Leon Fischer. He was a World W ar II Army veteran, serving from 1942 to 1944. He loved going fishing a nd to casinos. He enjoyed walking, reading, gardening, cooking and doi ng odd jobs for family and friends. Survivors include one daughter, Je an M. (Jim) Shultz, Menasha; one son Joseph Endres, Iola; one stepson, Har lan (Bev) Piette, of Menasha; one stepdaughter, Patricia M. (Gilbert) Fulc er, of Neenah; grandchildren and their children Kevin (Deanna) Raatz, Gret chen and Emily of Appleton; Ralph R. (Tracy) Raatz, Craig of Oshkosh; Deb ra J. (Russ) Hamann, and Jean Schlichting of Oshkosh; Patricia A. (Doug) M cClure, Casey and Jessica Wilke of Weyauwega, Lance Reviere of Oshkosh, Ry an McClure of Omro, Amy S. Wheeler, Stephanie of Oshkosh; David J. Schult z, Michael, Eric and Heidi of Appleton; Cindy (Jack) Lemke, Broderic k, of Neenah; step grandchildren, Cindy (Duane) Johnson, of Menasha; Cher yl (Rick) Burr, of Menasha; Sandra (Peter) Fye and Mike and Jimmy Fulce r, of Neenah; Vicki (Richard) McParlon, Menasha, Michele (Jim) Overgar d, of Elva; one brother, Matthew Endres, of Iola; two sisters, Lelah (Gilb ert) Gill, of Appleton; Margaret Wolfington, of Lansing Michigan; and niec es and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Tony, Leonar d, Frank, John, Joe, and William Endres. Funeral services will be held We dnesday September 30th, 1998 at the Voie Funeral home in Iola. Burial wi ll be in Riverside Cemetery in Iola.
