- Van Dyn Hoven, Cecilia "CeCe"
With love in her heart, and love by her side, Cecilia Roseann Van Dyn Hoven, Kaukauna, entered eternal peace on Feb. 2nd, 2008. She was born on Dec. 8th, 1929, to the late Ben and Agnes (Hoolihan) Reed in Manitowoc. She married Al J. Van Dyn Hoven on Sept. 22nd, 1951, at St. Mary's Church in Kaukauna.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Al; five sons: Kevin (Deb) children Jess (fiance Erik Dorn), Jason; Lawrence (Debbie) children Travis, Holly (fiance Adam Knudtson); Dennis (Nancy) children Stacy (fiance Timm Arnoldussen), Ryan (Andrea) their son Logan; Steve, children Shanna, David (Jessica) and their son Alex; Joe (Beth) children Tony, Tina, Tyler; two daughters; Ann (Kris) Sanders children Malerie (special friend Jake Van Gompel) Fallon, Roman, Baliegh; Amy (Don) Hurlbutt children Alexa, Sierra, Savana, Selena; three brothers: Bernard (Evelyn) Reed; Maurice (Janice) Reed, Edward (Mari Jo) Reed; three sisters: Margaret Schroeder; Elaine (Phillip) Fischer; Dorothy (Vernon) Holsbach. She is further survived by her husband's family; Raymond (Margaret) Van Dyn Hoven; Dan (Mary Alice) Van Dyn Hoven; Bob Van Dyn Hoven; Carl (Alisha) Van Dyn Hoven.
She was preceded in death by her loving granddaughters Amanda Leigh Van Dyn Hoven, daughter of Ann, Shanna Marie Van Dyn Hoven, daughter of Steve; brother Phillip Reed; sister- & brother-in-law Mary & Louis Smith, brother-in-law Elwin Schroeder and brother-in-law Kenny Van Dyn Hoven.
Her pride and joy were her 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. Ceil loved spending time at their place on Shawano Lake with her husband and friends. CeCe worked for many years at Riverview Sanatorium caring for the elderly. She was a member of the Sweet Adeline's, the Cabaret Club and the Holy Cross Catholic Church committee for visiting the nursing homes in the area.
CeCe's Mass of Christian Burial will be Noon on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday at Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
The family would like to thank the loving staff at St. Elizabeth & Affinity Hospice for the care and compassion they gave Mom during her final days.
