On Wednesday, May 3, 2006, Bernice L. Piepenburg went to her eternal hom e. Bernice was born March 13, 1912, to Emma (Haelfrisch) and Emil Fisch er in the town of Rantoul. She married her soulmate, Elmer Piepenburg in R antoul on May 31, 1931. They worked side by side on their farm for many ye ars. They moved to Brillion in 1955. Bernice and Elmer enjoyed traveling t ogether. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1979.Bernice worked outside of the home at several different jobs, but was main ly a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, as family was a lways so important to her. She was always there to love, nurture, and he lp however she could. There were always cookies waiting for whoever stopp ed by. Bernice enjoyed gardening, bird-watching, baking and puzzles.Bernice was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Brillion. She pla yed the organ, taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, belonged to the Wo men's Circle, and was always giving her time to work in the kitchen. She w as also a member of the Brillion Senior Citizens.She will be sadly missed by a son, Elliot (Marlene) Piepenburg of Appleto n; a daughter, Sandra (Warren) Belanger of Brillion; grandchildren: Dav id Piepenburg, Debbie Hammer (and special friend Jano), Dawn (Ron) Dought y, Todd (Stephanie) Piepenburg, Brian (Bonnie) Piepenburg, Bob Belanger, a nd Terrie Belanger. She is further survived by great-grandchildren: Rube n, Trista, Jordan, Davitt, and Dedra Piepenburg, Cassie (fiancee Travis Pi per), Aubria, and Tiana Hammer, Brandon and Carlye Doughty, and Jacob a nd Nicholas Piepenburg, and her great-great grandchildren: McKayleigh Pop p, Paige Hammer, and Caden Piper. Bernice is also survived by a sister, Ca rmen Fischer of Milwaukee and a brother-in-law, Harold Piepenburg of Texa s; as well as many nieces and nephews.Preceding her in death, her parents, her husband, Elmer, a son, Kenneth a nd his wife, Arlene and their infant son, Michael, a son, Roger, three bro thers, a brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law.Funeral services for Bernice will be held on Sunday, May 7th, 2006, at 3 p .m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Brillion with Pastor Susan Gaul of ficiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Buri al will be in the Brillion Community Cemetery.The family wishes to thank the staff at Century Oaks in Darboy, everyo ne at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute and Heartland Hospice for a ll of the wonderful care and love given to Mom. The Wieting Funeral Ho me of Brillion assisted the family with arrangements.
