- William F. Grimmer, Pickerel, Wis., formerly of Kaukauna, 72, passed away on Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, after a short illness. He was born April 4, 1935, son of the late Clarence and Evelyn (Revoir) Grimmer. William moved to Pickerel, Wis., (which he called Paradise) in 1997. He served in the U.S. Marines and retired from Valmet after 25 years of service as a machinest.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Marlene (Ellis) Grimmer, Pickerel; his five children, Debra Miller (Steve Douglas), Kaukuana; Diane Schultz, Fayetteville, N.C.; Dan (Ellen) Eisenschink, Kaukauna; Dave (Deedi) Eisenschink, Kaukauna; Cheryl (Ron) Pennenberg, DePere; his special grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his two sisters, Nancy (Ron) Verkuilen and Bonnie Vanevenhoven; several nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his very special dogs, Sam, Gidget and Molly.
William was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law; his granddaughter, Jessica Miller and a brother-in-law, Jerry Vanevenhoven.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukuana with Pastor Melinda Feller officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
