- Richard Donald Rademaker, Appleton, age 67, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was born July 16, 1944 in Kaukauna, son of the late Donald and Irene (Moore) Rademaker. Dick graduated from Kaukauna High School, Class of 1962, served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 - 1967, and was employed at Zaug's, Inc. for 39 years until retiring in 2006. On September 16, 1967 he was united in marriage to Jeanne Lohrbach (Kucinski) in Irvington, New Jersey. On February 23, 1991 he was married to Karen (Jansen) Prast in Appleton. Dick loved being retired and living "up north." He was an active member of the "Wolf River Riders" ATV Club in Pickerel and enjoyed playing cards with the retirees from Zaug's.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; a son, Paul (Jess) Rademaker, a daughter, Carin (Chris) Farrell, and a step-son, Jeremy (Mackenzie) Prast; 9 grandchildren: Aubree, Wyatt, Seth, Dirk, and Tref Rademaker, Bailey and Ethan Farrell, Samantha and Parker Prast; a great grandson, Valleck Preston; a brother, James (special friend Monica) Rademaker, and a brother-in-law, Leo (Dot) Mitchell. Dick is further survived by a niece, 6 nephews, and his 3 cats: Manny, Bubba and Booger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Kathleen Mitchell and a sister-in-law, Rose Rademaker.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 Noon on Friday, January 13, 2012 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 W. 7th St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received at church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Full Military Rites will follow the mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
